Gorgeous day in the Pacific Northwest, thinking of harvest

....inspired our flock of hens to produce the first egg.

....and between mid-June (last post) and now (stand by for a post-barrage), much has happened on the food front. Most recently, a berry farmer in Whatcom County is fined for labor violations. Stay posted for my rant on this one -- clearly showing that food and farm threats -- labor (and regulatory processes) -- deserve national-level attention.
